After you join the Allocation List, we will notify you about 3 to 4 times a year as we release new wines, with our two main offerings taking place in the Spring and Fall. We’ll give you information about the wines, and you can make a selection from the wines offered if you’d like to purchase.
You are not obligated to purchase wine, and we do not automatically send wine to participants—you must place an order to receive wine.
Those on the Allocation List have first access to our newly released wines, before they are offered elsewhere, if at all. For our most limited bottlings, we will limit the amount that a given participant can order during the offering in an attempt to make the wine available to more people. The most active, long-term participants are offered access to larger amounts of a given wine in recognition of their interest and support. Our system does allow for “Wish Requests,” so if you’d like more wine than you are initially offered, there is a way to request more.
We time our main releases around the optimal windows for shipping wine—the more moderate temperature spring and fall months. Because different geographic areas of the country have different optimal shipping windows, we stagger the shipments to target the best weather. As a result, the wine is not shipped immediately, but instead held and shipped several weeks after your order is placed. Occasionally, we will need to reschedule the shipment dates if extreme weather presents itself. We also offer the option to pick up wine orders at the winery on specific dates associated with the release.
how it works
allocation list faq
-
No you don’t. The Allocation List keeps participants informed, but it is not subscription service.
-
No, it is not. A wine club is when the winery selects wines on the customer’s behalf and automatically charges and ships them, like a subscription. Our Allocation List is an “Offering” system where you are offered wines and can purchase those that interest you.
-
No, there are tiers within our list. The more enthusiastic a participant is in terms of purchasing, the larger the allocation of wines offered.
-
Your purchase history (quantity and longevity) factors into our allocation formulas.
-
Absolutely. You select the wines that interest you from among those offered during the Offering period.
-
No, you can take a pass when you want. But more enthusiastic participants have access to more wine and the earliest access.
-
We will move you from our active Allocation List to our auxilliary mailing list. You’ll hear from us less frequently.
-
If it works best for you to order periodically at your own pace from among the wines we have available, that’s fine. Active Allocation list members hear from us in more detail and more frequently. They are eligible for certain complimentary tastings and perks. They have access to an expanded set of wines as soon as they are released, and our process is geared toward shipping Allocation list member wines during the most ideal shipping windows.
-
We typically offer the option to pick up wine orders on specific dates at the winery in conjunction with seasonal releases.
